Oof, yes. That tightening—the chains feeling—I know it well. It can be easy to brush past it and keep going, but those reactions usually mean something important is stirring underneath. I’m glad you named it here.
I hear that! Deadlines motivate but can also overwhelm. What helps me in those moments is to make a small action. It could be re-reading that handwritten outline or the last couple of paragraphs you wrote. It could even be writing a bunch of curse words in a notebook about how frustrated you are. (The last one is my fave… and the more unhinged, the better. 😅)
I love this so much. I tell my clients all the time that we have to take ourselves seriously before anyone else does.
